Hi all! If, Then: Technology and Poetics is a collaborative, interdisciplinary working group and workshop series that Dr. Lillian-Yvonne Bertram (Northeastern University) and I have been running for the last year and a half. We bring together writers, coders, and scholars investigating the relationships between humans and machines and the works of art, literature, and visual knowledge they produce together. We typically host monthly workshops and discussions, but I'm reaching out today because we are hosting our first (virtual) symposium this March and would love to see colleagues from CCSWG (and your friends and colleagues!) in attendance.
Speculative Lessons/Just Futures: Creativity and Accessibility in Computational Poetics will be held March 4-5, 2022 and will focus on accessibility, creativity, and the wonderful, generative, digital work that arises with the equal combination of the two. Guests include Kevin Gotkin, Louise Hickman, Taeyoon Choi, and Clayton Colmon—the full schedule and registration page are over on our website. All events are free, over Zoom, and open to writers, coders, and scholars from all backgrounds. Register here by February 20 and please share with those who you think may be interested!
